Reimagining Humanity

Centering Blackness

Centering Blackness as a Means to Undo Racism takes into account the ways in which our social and economic structures are built on the invisibility, disability - yet necessity, of all Black people and Black labor.  It requires that Black people have direct input and leadership in the creation of policies and practices to undo racism for the benefit of all communities. This principle is key in all of Collaborising’s work.

Race Equity

Collaborising is dedicated to improving race equity by facilitating community conversations on race and interactive workshops. Our purpose is to build cross-cultural relationships between racialized groups who compete for limited resources and view one another as opponents rather than collaborators. We work with groups and individuals to expose racial bias(es) and to replace these bias(es) with an understanding that systemic and structural racism divides us as human beings.

Positive Social Change

Involves the deliberate process of creating and applying ideas, strategies, and actions to promote the worth, dignity, and development of individuals, communities, organizations, institutions, cultures, and societies.  Collaborising seeks to eliminate the harmful ideology of White supremacy without disparaging White people who have fallen prey to this false belief system. We advocate on behalf of the socially disadvantaged to create change at the local level.
