Our Team

Lea Murray-Quintana, MPH, MA
Co-Leader/Founder

Lea believes in speaking to the soul. All people have value and deserve to be acknowledged as human beings.

As an advocate for the misrepresented and misunderstood; Lea seeks to create understanding between groups and individuals who might otherwise be in conflict. Using mindfulness practice and principles of social and restorative justice, Lea seeks reconciliation and restitution for those who have been harmed by the toxicity of hatred and division.

Homelessness is a public health problem that should not occur in the wealthy Bay Area. The majority of our unhoused neighbors are Black and Brown supporting what we already know to be a racially biased system. Lea fights to bring these issues to the forefront of local policymakers and leaders for the good of the community.

A life-long learner, Lea earned a MA in African Diaspora Studies from Florida International University and an MPH in Public Health Nutrition from UC Berkeley.

Ramon Quintana
Co-Leader/Manager

Ramon is an advocate, a US Marine Veteran, and a very lucky guy. Following a 20-year career in real estate, he moved to Florida; as one does. After a few years in the Sunshine State, he moved to California with his wife, Lea Murray, to care for a family member.

While in Richmond, he quickly saw the difficulties and the magnitude of the unhoused communities in the Bay Area.

Ramon and Lea dove right in. Together they run Collaborising, a nonprofit that is founded on the principle that all people are worthy of respect and dignity.

“Homelessness comes about for all different types of reasons. Rather than avoiding the unhoused, engage with them as you would any other member in your community. One of the greatest gifts you must give, is helping an unhoused person find aid. This can come in many forms, for example, you can organize food and clothing drives, give out gift cards to food and grocery stores or provide a uber or lift gift card.

Remember to be kind, everyone is human.”
